Professor HUANG Mingxin earned his bachelor’s degree and master’s degree from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and PhD from TU Delft. Prof. Huang joined HKU as an Assistant Professor in 2010, and was promoted to Professor and Chair Professor in 2019 and 2023, respectively. Prof. Huang has published more than 160 papers and has been ranked by Clarivate Analytics in the top 1% worldwide by citations in the field of Materials Science. Prof. Huang was awarded Xplorer Prize, Croucher Senior Research Fellowship, Changjiang Scholar Chair Professor and Member of The Hong Kong Young Academy of Sciences.

Prof. Yi-Chun Lu received her Ph.D. degree from MIT in 2012. She is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Automation Engineering at The Chinese University of Hong Kong and the co-founder of Luquos Energy Ltd. She is a Fellow of Royal Society of Chemistry, Founding Member of Young Academy of Science of Hong Kong and was the recipient of RGC Research Fellow 2022, Xplorer Prize 2021, IBA Early Career Award 2021, Top 10 Falling Walls Science Breakthroughs of the Year 2020, NSFC Excellent Young Scientists 2019, and Hong Kong SAR Research Grants Council Early Career Award 2014. Her research interest centers on battery and energy storage/conversion technologies. Prof. Lu serves as an Associate Editor for Journal of Materials Chemistry A, and Editorial Board/Advisory Member for Energy & Environmental Science, Materials Today, Chemistry of Materials, and ACS Energy Letters.

Minchen Tommy Wei is a Professor at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He received his B.Eng in Electrical Engineering at Fudan University (2005-2009), MSc and PhD in Architectural Engineering at The Pennsylvania State University (2011 and 2015). His research interests include colour and imaging science, signal processing for imaging systems and sensors, and illuminating technology and engineering. He has collaborated with a wide range of world-leading high-tech companies to develop various innovative solutions. He received Google Research Scholar Award in 2021, NSFC Excellent Young Scientist Fund in 2022, PolyU Young Innovative Researcher Award, and PolyU President's Award for Outstanding Knowledge Transfer in 2022, and SID Youth Leader Award in 2024.

Professor Angus Yip obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Washington and served as a faculty member at South China University of Technology from 2013 to 2020, prior to his appointment at City University of Hong Kong in 2021. At CityU, he holds the position of Professor in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering and the School of Energy and Environment, and serves as Associate Director at the Hong Kong Institute for Clean Energy. His scholarly contributions include over 300 publications, an H-index of 104, and more than 40,000 citations, securing his status as Clarivate’s "Highly Cited Researcher" from 2014 to 2023. His outstanding research contributions have been honored with membership in the Hong Kong Young Academy of Sciences in 2022, the International Union of Materials Research Societies-Frontier Materials Young Scientist Award in 2023, and the Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry. His pioneering efforts have resulted in the formation of spinoff companies that advance photovoltaic technology, thereby enhancing the deployment of renewable energy and supporting Hong Kong’s sustainable development.
